Jumping the shark is a moment in time, not a series of them, so rather than a decline in quality overall you're saying the *season* finale was beyond ridiculous and didn't fit within the reality of the show; and then comparing this to the *final* Red vs. Blue.

That said, your comparison leaves much to be desired in two respects.  Projection, AI resurrection, FTL jump drives, and an affirmed religious subtext in a quest for Earth?  Is it really unexpected that Bob Dylan would make an appearance?  That maybe, just maybe, those four characters were channeling something from far away--or maybe from the past?  After all, these humans could very well have come from Earth to Kobol then the colonies and merely forgotten about it in the fog of mythology--we don't know--and therefore the ending, when it comes some time next year, might be perfectly reasonable.  You asked Ron Moore what he was thinking.  I simply ask you the same thing.</description>
