Well, if Michael Moore’s people say its a lie, then it must be a lie.

Consider my story retracted and accept my apology for being misled by the Iranian Student News Agency. I guess time will tell what Moore’s real plans are for October ;).

However, how does the apparently deliberate lie on the part of the ISNA add up to a right-wing conspiracy?

Everett: “Slimeball?” WoW! That really hurt my feelings… NOT! Moore definitely checks his facts, but then he discards the ones that don’t support his weak argument for commun— I mean Socialist healthcare.

Anonymous: I’m looking into the “debunked” claim and if I find it to be accurate I will write an apology in this forum. HOWEVER, the ISNA is a reputable -if somewhat biased- news outlet for Iranian students both in Iran and abroad. They’ve been at it since 1999 and they are supported in part by the government of Iran. Until they retract the story, or until Moore calls me himself to set straight the record, my column stands.
