A survey indicates that a significant percentage of Americans get most of their news from TV's Comedy Central. The Larry King/CNN decision to bump Michael Moore for a self-absorbed bimbo like Paris Hilton rivals... well, sorry, I just can't think of anything more stupid. King and CNN deserve all the backlash that is surely coming their way - they could have at least put her on "CNN Headline News", which already has seriously damaged the formerly iconic network's image as a serious news organization. What happend to the CNN of the first Gulf War? Wolf Blitzer was part of that war's stalwart and courageous news team - now he just hangs out in a glitzy studio called (laughingly) "The Situation Room" and interviews expert talking heads and previews upcoming Larry King interviews.

Maybe Comedy Central IS the best place to get serious news.

Larry King is supposedly one of America's most respected journalists, right? Paris Hilton chose his show - because I imagine a whole lot of shows were competing for her - Paris chose his show becuase she considers him an "icon" and really respects him. She said as much in the first 30 secs of the interview. I don't think that respect is warranted. Larry King has national attention and credibility, and he chose to bump off a movie about saving people's lives so he could interview a convicted criminal before anyone else could.

Medical bills are the #1 cause of bankruptcy in America, but King chose instead to focus on a girl whose career (according to her book) is 'heiress.'

HMOs deliberately deny care when they know that doing so will kill their client. But Larry King thought it was more important to find out what 24 days of jail time is like for a millionaire.

I suppose Larry King was giving the people what they wanted. Well, we found out what he thinks the people want. He decided that focusing attention on saving the lives of American citizens was less important than focusing attention on someone whose breakthrough fame came from having sex on camera. Larry King, you should be ashamed of yourself.

Maybe it is finally working. Maybe fianlly there is a GOD! Could the world be getting tired of this mindless wonder. These same people that watched this instead of Healthcare Issues brought up in Morre's film. We areso far behind behind Europe, almost everybody. It was a shame to bump him for that. Wait till you come down with something serious and your stint in the hospital for a week is 150,000 and you drive a cab, to support your family and have no health insurance. Now you have that bill to pay. I hope you liked the Hilton Show off, maybe you can get a discount, NOT!
What is with Larry, to much fat in the brain, could he not ask questions that meant anything, like why did your dad go into a bidding war, wasgreed the only motive. getting back- seeing Paris looking like she woke up in a casket on 6ft. under, trying to be normal but failing miserably. I think it is a perfect time to say good bye to Paris and good riddance. Go.
