I could care less what someone's skin color is. It's certain cultures that I don’t want to be "forced" it take part in, have to look at or listen to on a daily basis. So many people get racism and prejudice mixed up and dont understand that there is nothing inherently wrong with passive prejudice (so you don’t like tomato's eh?).

I don’t like hip hop, gansta, "ghetto", sauerkraut, raw fish, or many other things that will get me called a “racist” by so many people. People..no, white people are getting feed up with every time we turn around we are being called a racist. It just perpetuates the whole perceived issue anyway. We don’t talk in public or make any comments that could be considered “offensive” out of fear. That being said, you don’t think it’s talked about behind closed doors; making it (the fear, thus the problem) grow?

Racism is saying everyone with a certain shade of skin has certain bad or evil characteristics.

What is not wrong is noticing that different societies and ethnic groups learn certain characteristics.

Andrew Greeley does sociological data on ethnic Americans, including Irish. The Irish in Australia have a different culture than those who went to the US or stayed in Ireland, of course. The troublemakers migrated, and the peaceful and rich stayed home.

What happens is that although people adjust to the culture, they also retain part of the culture of their ancestors.

Ironically, Afro Americans have a different culture than Africans...or from the Caribbean or Brazil.
