Nor does membership in the Nazi party. The Waffen SS grabbed all the ethnic German males from outside Germany that it could and forced them into service. Being assigned as a camp guard also could have been a forced assignment. That doesn't mean the man wasn't a war criminal. He might well have been. What he did as a guard would have to determine whether or not he was a war criminal. The news services haven't covered that part of the story. That doesn’t mean the man wasn’t a war criminal. He might well have been. What he did as a guard would have to determine whether or not he was a war criminal. The news services haven’t covered that part of the story.
