Ya know, London, I was going to write THAT story, but I couldn't find any facts to back it up so I had to settle for Palestine.

Excellent comments, although since I already know I'm an asshole there is really no reason to keep re-iterating the point. I shall respond in chronological order.
Kevin: Israel was given the land after WWII. After being invaded by all of their neighbors and kicking the crap out of them with outdated equipment, Israel still holds the land as well as the spoils of that invasion. They are working to give some of it back.

Reza: I fully agree with Israel. Hamas refuses to acknowledge Israel's right to exist, so why should Israel bother to negotiate?

Massoud: I of course agree with your statement. The tiniest bit of research and intellectual honesty sheds a whole lot of light onto the subject. Thank you.

Asad: You didn't really say anything to me, so I'll just keep quiet on the subject of Iran's A-Bomb program for now.

Reza (again): If Iran is to blame (as the PLO -among others- has indicated) then shouldn't they catch the flak for it? As for Western Powers... we refuse to fund folks who have clearly stated and demonstrated the terrorism is an acceptable means to an end. And as for Israeli occupation, I think it'd be pretty darned irresponsible to pull out of Palestine at the moment. In case you've missed it, some Palestinian thugs are killing OTHER PALESTINIANS simply to grab power. They have not demonstrated that they are capable of self-governance.

Fox Bradley (or should I say mister pottie mouth?): I am not Israeli. I'm not even particularly fond of Judaism as a religion. However, recent actions by Israeli armed forces seem to be pretty restrained. They launched a tank assault into Gaza, but only to chase off the Hamas thugs who were lobbing grenades at PALESTINIAN refugees stuck at the border crossing. Doesn't sound like Israeli terrorism to me.

al: I'm not from the Florida swamps or even from a particularly rural area. I will continue to write as long as the market wants me to, despite your rather juvenile attempt at criticism. Also, sentences should end with some sort of punctuation. Most end with a "." Some might consider a failure to do so demonstrable proof of ignorance.

Tony: I see your point but disagree. The west simply refused to continue sending money to folks who will use it for terrorist ends. Why should we finance people who want to kill us or refuse to acknowledge their neighbors' right to exist?

It's quite obvious now that a democratic election must produce a government that is acceptable to the White House. Anything else will be rejected. The democratic voice of the people will be ignored unless it is singing the song that Washington wants to hear. This astounding hypocrisy undermines everything America says it is trying to achieve in the region and everything that America once stood for.

It is becoming the norm that what happened in the world easiest way is to blame Iran. This is exactly what US propaganda is doing and some ignorant who forgot how same propaganda lead to Iraq invasion.

The writer completely ignore how western power oppose a democratic ellected Hamas government and just make up some story about Iran. What about 40 years of occupation?

Agha Taheri, "What happens when they get the BOMB?" Aren't you the one who started the lie about religious minorities being required to wear special badges in Iran? If you are, well one would have to consider the source after asking oneself how does this man earn a living? He sure seems to travel a whole lot! If you are not the same Mr. Taheri, sir, were do you get your information about Iran's intentions to get the BOMB?

The mullahs in Iran are driving the whole region into extremism and eventually to a disastorous end! What happens when they get the BOMB? They must be isolated and we should not buy their oil. They use their oil revenues to finance their terrorist proxies, it is time to hold them accountable for their actions.

When Palestinians in the occupied territories gave Hamas a resounding victory at the polls, they sent the world a message. The status quo of Israeli colonization and denial of Palestinian rights is unsustainable.

Israel's swift refusal to negotiate with Hamas, however, signifies that Israel will instead use Hamas' win as a smokescreen to shield it from upholding its commitments under U.S.-brokered peace agreements and international law. US government's rash threat to cut aid to the Palestinians suggests that they will follow Israel's lead.

This is seen as state terrorism by Iran, the difference is, Iran fights back, and I guess people like you are brought up in a world thinking whoever fights back is evil.
