How do you spell hypocrite? Apparently it’s J-O-L-I-E as the puff-lipped actress proves by banning Fox News from being permitted to interview her to promote her new role as the wife of martyred reporter Daniel Pearl in the upcoming movie “A Might Heart.” As Jolie touts press freedom, her newest pet cause, she inexplicably put several restrictions on that very freedom of the press — and not just against Fox News.
Fox News’ Roger Friedman reports Jolie’s hypocrisy.
‘Mighty’ Hypocrite Angelina Jolie Bans FOX and Others From Premiere
But Jolie turns out to be a mighty hypocrite when it comes to her own freedom of the press. Her lawyer required all journalists to sign a contract before talking to her, and Jolie instructed publicists at first to ban FOX News from the red carpet of her premiere.
Ironically, Wednesday night’s premiere of the excellent Michael Winterbottom-directed film was meant to support an organization called Reporters Without Borders. Jolie, however, did everything she could to clamp down on the press and control it.
Do none off these Hollywierd people have even the tiniest ability at introspection? Or are they so absolutely sure of their own god-like status that the fallibility of ordinary man is beyond their kin in their minds? Are they so focused on their ultimate goals that the path to them is immaterial? Is integrity such an unknown concept out on the left coast?
She wasn’t done with just attempting to ban Fox from the red carpet, either.
Reporters from most major media outlets balked Wednesday when they were presented with an agreement drawn up by Jolie’s Hollywood lawyer Robert Offer. The contract closely dictated the terms of all interviews.
Reporters were asked to agree to “not ask Ms. Jolie any questions regarding her personal relationships. In the event Interviewer does ask Ms. Jolie any questions regarding her personal relationships, Ms. Jolie will have the right to immediately terminate the interview and leave.”
The agreement also required that “the interview may only be used to promote the Picture. In no event may Interviewer or Media Outlet be entitled to run all or any portion of the interview in connection with any other story. … The interview will not be used in a manner that is disparaging, demeaning, or derogatory to Ms. Jolie.”
If that wasn’t enough, Jolie also requires that if any of these things happen, “the tape of the interview will not be released to Interviewer.” Such a violation, the signatory thus agrees, would “cause Jolie irreparable harm” and make it possible for her to sue the interviewer and seek a restraining order.
What can I say further? I’d love to expound on this story, but there really isn’t anything more that can be gainfully said.
Like most in Hollywierd, Jolie is an utter hypocrite.
That’s about the whole length and breadth of this story.
The worst thing is, knowing how these people are, the media still fall all over themselves to give such people the kind of air time they desire to flog their causes.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackThis *is* the same woman who vowed to never speak to her father again because he had an affair while married to her mother, and that she’d *never* get involved with a married man …. and people are just now figuring out she’s a hypocrite?! Puh-leez!
It make sense to me. She is hounded by photogs and bad incorrect press constantly. Looks to me like she wanted to make sure the interviews didn’t turn out to be a bunch of brangelina press, and instead focus on the MOVIE they were suppossed to be interviewing her about in the first place.
It’s really sad that people hate Angelina Jolie for begging the press to focus on topic about peace and not to ask questions such as what the colour of her underwear is, or what Brad looks like in the morning. I wish journalists used to bash Angelina learn more from Mariana Pearl that not bad gossips make the world better but a good news educating people for more comprehension.
Not a hater, but wondering why Angelina Jolie is playing the wife of Daniel Pearl when it should be Halle Berry, Angela Bassett or someone else of color representing the real Mrs. Daniel Pearl. Maybe JOLIE is a little scared someone may ask her how it feels to play a black woman.
Pearl’s wife is black, and while that may or may not mean anything to the MSM or those representing JOLIE, it means a lot to women of color who endure attacks on their husbands, sons, uncles and fathers. I am sure this is one of the reasons for the “keep it from the media” campaign marketed by her attorney.
Don’t confuse journalism on world issues with invasive, none of your business personal questions. If FOX doesn’t know the difference, they should learn.
How about the freedom to grant interviews to only the people you want? The freedom to choose? You misinterpret the meaning of freedom of the press!
IT’S SAD AND DISHEARTENING TI HEAR OUR LOVED ANGIE BEING CALLED A HYPOCRITE.TO TELL THE TRUTH,SHE WAS ONLY TRYING TO PUT JOURNALISTS IN PLACE BY ALL THIS,SO WHEN THEY GET TO INTERVIEW,THEY GET TO THE POINT AND NOT ASK STUPID QUESTIONS LIKE WHAT KINDA PYJAMAS DOES BRAD WEAR OR WHEN HE WAKES UP.ANGIE WE ARE ALL BEHIND U NOW AND FOREVER.
