This year, the 2007 MLB All-Star Game will be held in San Francisco’s AT&T Ballpark. It will be the third time the games will be held in San Francisco, the first since 1984 held in Candlestick Park, and the first in AT&T Park since opening in 2000. This is an appropriate year for the Giants to be hosting the game since Barry Bonds will most likely break the home run record this year.

The 78th All Star Game will be held on July 10, 2007. Voting has already started for those who want to nominate their favorite players to make the team. The Giants and Major League Baseball have already revealed logos for the game. Only season ticket holders are able to attend the event, helping the hosting ballpark to sell more season tickets.

Some of the events taking place at this year’s All-Star Game have already been announced. One such event is MLB FanFest. FanFest is expected to attract over 110,000 fans with baseball exhibits, attractions, baseball clinics and seminars, autograph sessions, live entertainment, memorabilia, and more. Also, Taco Bell All-Star Sunday will take place in San Francisco. This event features XM Satellite Radio All-Star Futures Game and the Taco Bell Legends and Celebrity Softball Game. The XM Satellite Radio All-Star Futures Game is played between rising baseball stars and other U.S. players. The Taco Bell Legends and Celebrity Softball Game is played between Hall of Fame baseball players and modern day celebrities. Finally, the Gatorade All-Star Workout Day will also take place including the Home Run Derby which is one of the most popular events of the festivities.
