Convicted Killer Denied Parole in Tampa
As reported in the Tampa Tribune this morning, Gary L. Tillman will remain behind bars at least until 2099.
Tillman, admitted attacking Marjorie Shannon, 22, as she used a pay phone outside a convenience store on August 1983, and then robbed the store. Tillman stabbed Shannon 59 times.
After conviction in which he pleaded guilty Tillman was sentenced to life in prison. Under Florida law, if you are sentenced to life in Prison you remain ineligible for parole.
It does give me a warm feeling in knowing that those who choose to kill others, and are found guilty in a court of law, will remain where they belong. Robbing a convenience is still a far step from the murder an innocent bystander. Once a person makes that first step, that first kill, they will not hesitate at a next. They’ve crossed the line that separates what is right.
I most definitely am not the type to cheer the justice system as it stands in any way, but I know that tonight when I fill up with gas at my local store, Gary L. Tillman will not be there to mess up my night.

You know nothing about this case except what you read in the paper Mr Clyde Sexton Jr., the only information you have is that he said he did it, will let me tell you a few things about this case. First, he plead guilty to the robbery of the store, not ones did he say he attacked Marjorie Shannon and not only that DNA evidence that was found on her did not match his. Second he was never convicted of her rape or kidnapping, so before you through some stones make sure you have the right ones to through.
As for the justice system there is nothing wrong with it. What is wrong is the people we have that is enforcing it. So, next time you open your mouth or type words make sure you ask yourself, “Do I have all the information or was I just given what they want me to know and not the whole truth?”

Thia before you throw stones also like you said to him make sure you even know what your talking about..
he wasnt convicted of her rape and kidnapping because she wasnt raped or kidnapped..she was stabbed over and over again while she made a call on the pay phone and left right there to die…therefore you dont know the case either.he did admitt to killing her and therefore he should never be released, at the same time I forgive him… God says I have to forgive… God will deal with him when its his time. R.I.P Marjorie we love you !!
