Residents of Illinois are anything but excited about the upcoming election for governor.  The two well-known, but inept candidates are current Governor Rod Blagojevich, and his opponent, Judy Topinka.  Neither candidate is appealing, and many voters will be at odds when it comes to making their final decision.  A preliminary survey conducted at www.wgnradio.com found that an astonishing 70% of the participants voted in favor of a “left field” candidate, one Zippy the Squirrel.  Zippy is a fictional character, of course, but in this case fact is not better than fiction.  The fact of the matter is citizens of Illinois don’t want either party in office.
