Although the votes aren’t complete, Comelec has decided to proclaim the winners of ten of the twelve Senate seats. The Senate are chosen from a list by all voters here, and so far it appears that the GO (Genuine Opposition) has won a large majority of the Senate seats over Team Unity, the collection of parties that back President Arroyo.
There are twelve senate seats up in the election, and ten of them have been closed; number eleven and twelve are still awaiting the final count.
What this means is that the Senate will probably try to impeach Arroyo again for corruption. Hopefully they will also try to do their job, which of course includes rooting out corruption in the government and encouraging business investments here.
Arroyo has been aggressive in traveling to obtain jobs for OFW and in encouraging investment here.
However, the reputation for corruption discourages many outside investment.

i want to know all the leaders about what are their reason or purpose they run and waste all their money(i hope not the money of the people) for their campaign. For what.?It is a common reason that they want to stop corruption but until now no improvement happen. My idea was they asked for the budget for their proposed project(a big budget) but until now many roads that are still under construction or some are not yet construct.It is difficult for us to travel because damaging roads.I experienced before election that the officer put a asphalt in our way but it was just short.For me it is part of politics.I hope that the new leaders whoever be elected will do their duties and responsibilities and not for their own sake.Leaders should not give their soul in the evil one’s. And for the people, they should do they responsibilities to the government. They should not depend all to the President especially the poor. Poor people should try hard to be successful also to their life. We,
Filipinos, should walk hand and hand for the peaceful and improvement of our Country Philippines.
I already know of whats gonna happen to all the senate winner. Theyre not gonna spend million pesos for nothing. I hate philippine politics. specially the comelec leader. They are ALL ARROYO’S TUTA. i CALL THEM NOW LIKE IN SHORT “TUTAROYO” 12% BAT GOES TO ROYO’S POCKET. TAHTS ALL MY POINT OF VEIW.
