He proposed the idea of killing "defective" children with chemical poisons, and this was done starting in 1938....over 10,000 children in the Reich (Germany and Austria) were put to death via lethal injections....the goal of having doctors administer the fatal poison was to make it easier on those (physicians) doing the killing, and had nothing to do with 'humanizing' the process for those being killed. Lethal injection in today's America represents a supreme triumph of a portion of Nazi ideology, in that the law is used to dehumanize a group of people ([convicted] violent felons) by constantly referring to them as 'garbage', 'vermin', 'filth', 'subhuman' and 'monsters', to numb society into accepting the preposterous idea that medicalized killing is "humane", "justice" and "necessary", to accept that society must be "purged", "purified" or "cleanses" of these folks, and that those being killed "need" or "deserve" to be liquidated. It is a moral outrage that this country is so wedded to such a vile practice. Those who advocate the continued usage of lethal injection in the name of the law in this country should be more historically aware of where the practice originated, and give credit to where it is due....the Nazis.
