Rosie O’Donnell says goodbye to “The View”. The announcement came down from ABC, they stated that Rosie will not be back on the show. It appears that the final battle with Elisabeth Hasselbeck will truly be the last. Rosie had previously asked for an early departure from the show and was set to leave mid-June.
In a statement, O’Donnell said she was grateful. “It’s been an amazing year and I love all three women.” This is to assume she also included Elisabeth in her statement.
Rosie and Elisabeth have had many small battles over the war in Irac, although it has never escalated to the levels witnessed on Wednesday.
“Rosie contributed to one of our most exciting and successful years at `The View,’” show creator Barbara Walters said. “I am most appreciative. Our close and affectionate relationship will not change.”
Will Rosie and The View stay in touch, it’s hard to say. I think of jobs I have left in the past and never looked back.
Rosie brought much needed ratings to The View and I am curious to see how they do without her.

On the day of the feud, I was disgusted with her low cleavage dress as she is a mother-to-be and did not appear to be so sweet and innocent. She acted so innocent on The Survivor that I changed the station. Now with Rosie gone, I will not be a fan of the View. Barbara Walters’s sqeauky voice and over-bleached blond hair makes her look like a candidate for a horror movie. I do love Joy and will miss her spunkiness. ABC blew it and they know it. Bye, bye the View!
rosie will definately be missed. she brought entertainment, controversial issuess and TRUTH to the show. i never watched the view until she came on the show, and although i was never a big fan of hers in the past, i learned to really respect her due to her true democratic views and honesty about whats REALLY going on in the middle east. GET OUT OF IRAQ!!!!! there is absolutely no reason in the world to INVADE a country killing thousands of innocent men women and especially children. i support the troops, for they dont even understand why they are there in the first place…there is no proof of waspons of mass destruction, as there was no threat from the so called taliban in afghanistan…this is clearly about OIL. WAKE UP AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! pick up a book and READ! ignorance is not bliss!!!!!!!!
I agree with little hobo, I will rarely if ever watch The View again. Rosie is sure to be with us for years to come. She is a dynamic personality who will not be silenced. Whatever Rosie does and wherever Rosie goes, I will tune in! It would be icing on the cake if Rosie took Joy with her.
