It is quite true, in the UK less people are joining the "sun clubs" as Naturism has become more socially acceptable. The unfotunate result is that the "statistics" show sun clubs etc. closing, but the UK law is good in taking account of naturists "needs". So we have more naturist beaches, but with the protection of police against sex pests etc.

Obviously the internet has been a great tool in making it clear that naturists aren't the odd few, but there are a good amount of us, from just people sunbathing nude to people who just like being au naturel at home. In the past they haven't admitted it, but now they are opening up. Lets hope it continues.

What the story really is about is how people are no longer Joiners. read the book "Bowling Alone." Bowling leagues are down, yet more and more people are bowling. The same is true of nudist clubs. people don't want to sign up for memberships like they used to.

Now instead, you have nudist resorts, such as ours, the Terra Cotta Inn clothing optional resort which does not charge memberships. We have guests of all ages just like you would find at a nude beach or nudit resort in Europe. because of not charging membeships (and other reasons) we are one of the most popular of all hotels in Palm Springs. So where membeship is down at some nudist clubs, many nudist resorts are very successful.
