Ashley says the article is interesting and freakin' her out. In those few words she is expressing the future potential revelations of the documents once pieced together. They will show the Stasi was an organization bent on gathering the pettiest of "evidence" to use against a disgruntled citizen; an organization answerable only to the masters of the country, not to its citizens; an organization that basked in its accomplishments against a so-called enemy (which was always the people, not any external entity). While some Stasi members and the informants may have done this work as matter of self survival under an ultra corrupt gevernment, many did it because they were convinced their neighbours were subversive and thus needed to be "taught a lesson." The more we learn who did what (while the former stasi are still alive) the more the process of reconstructing those documents should and must continue.
