		<description>You know at first glance this sounds bad.  The sfgate article  states that the instructor encouraged them to use Muslim names.  So that wasn't required.  You know maybe the kid coming home found it fun.  As far as memorizing a passage from the Quran,  it really depends on the passage.  The prayer, really depends on the prayer. I don't think giving up candy or television for a day is bad.  The final exam, a critique on elements of the Muslim culture, sounds acceptable.  Truthfully, on first reading, I had to wonder if this would not teach intolerance of Islam rather then anything else.  This is hardly "unconstitutional religious indoctrination" and I think covering other religions similarly would be great.  Religion is an important part of us, our civilization, and of other cultures and civilizations also.</description>
