well you are both right. it provides a good tactical platform. however many things are much different such as ballistics. paintball is good tactical training but not solid combat training

Ooooh. A paintball expert! I too am a paintball player, and many of the things that you say are true, but a level of discipline, fitness, and even very close quarter combat techniques can be developed. Also, unless you're one of those paintballers that are afraid of the woods, stealth can be developed. Military and Law Enforcement has used paintball to train.

Also take note that, whatever ignorance the writer or his subjects may have about the limitations of paintball training, the intent of the subjects, such as did actually ignite a bomb on London subways, is being conveyed. This does not consititue "fear-mongering."

For you to use the issue of so-called radical Muslims using paintball is ludicrous. Let's hope, for ALL of our sakes that the real jihadists DO use paintball for all of their training! Except for some specialized and very limited applications, paintball is not a good tool for military or police training purposes - it teaches all kinds of bad lessons, improper tactics, mistaken view of "combat". Anyone claiming to be a jihadist and seriously stating that they are using paintball to train is at best a wannabe and at worst a misguided idiot. Neither amounts to any kind of threat and portraying them as such is just more fear-mongering.
