Richard Ryan Wargo of Shreveport, LA has allegedly threatened to kill Sen. Hillary Clinton. Senator Clinton is scheduled to be in Baton Rouge this weekend for the National Conference of Black Mayors. A classmate of the 19-year-old Wargo reported a conversation he had to LSU Police. Wargo is alleged to have asked the classmate if he was interested in participating in an act of terrorism against Clinton.
According to the warrant, the classmate pointed out to Wargo that “You know that that’s only going to make her more popular.” Wargo answered with, “True, but have you ever heard of a dead president?” Richard Wargo has been arrested and is being held in parish prison on a $1 million bond. He is charged with multiple counts of terrorizing, communicating false information of planned arson, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
In April of 2006 a Richard Ryan Wargo is listed as a graduate of Loyola College Prep, a Shreveport Catholic preparatory school in existence for over 100 years. Ironically the Mission Statement of the school is to “… become men and women of conscience, character, and compassion, continuing the Jesuit Catholic tradition of discipline, academic excellence, student involvement, and community service “for The Greater Glory of God” (AMDG).”

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackThis was a joke. this is the stupidest charge i have heard in my life. anyone who knows wargo knows that he was joking around. the charges need to be dropped immediately with the exception of marijuana and drugs of course.
Are you serious? Ever since 9-11 and Virginia Tech now no one can make jokes? This is absolutely idiotic. Things like this is what leads kids to do such things. You give them attention over a joke or a silly comment and the next thing you know they want more attention and they know exactly how to get it. This is totally a discrace to the American way of life. Leave the kid alone for making jokes. Whatever happened to the strong America I grew up in? People saying they would kill such and such and the parents putting foot to tail for thinking it and putting morals back into the kids life. This is not America anymore this is a place where goofy kids get jailed for their “CONSTITUTIONAL” right of freedom of speech. Give me a break…
Ryan was a decent guy and all, but he had this coming. With all that’s going on in the world these days, saying something like that is pretty much equivalent to saying the word “bomb” in an airport. Anyway, it’s too bad this is going to make Loyola look awful… I’m sure Mr. Israel is thrilled.
The student above me is rediculous. Ryan Wargo is brilliant. He is also ever sacractsic. When reading the quote of what he said, I can perfectly imagine the tone in voice and the position of his head. HHe was kidding. If this comment was overheard by somone who does not know Ryan, I understand it might now come across well. But he is a great person. One of the smartest, funniest, and coolest guys you will ever meet. Tot he loyola student about, go to hell. He in no way had this coming to him. He was not saying “Bomb” in an airepot, he was making a joke between hiimself and a freind. Finally, this couldn’t make Loyola look any worse than it akready does. The school is a joke, and I hope Mr. Israel suffers becuase of this
This guy is as intelligent as they come. he is one of my best friends and I feel bad for the kid that ratted him out. Mr. Hernandez don’t say anything about him and the mission statement because if you knew what you were talking about you would know he doesn’t take anything seriously and this is not even a joke, but a comment. A comment that has no meaning. I am sure everyone has said something they absolutely did not mean, and this is how Ryan is. The charges won’t stick. Has anyone heard of the first ammendment? By the way Loyola is a joke, and this has no bearing on the school. You need to shut your mouth Loyola Student because you don’t know the guy like I do and to say he had this coming is ignorant. If you aren’t personally attached to the guy, then shut the fu** up.
LOL I’m pretty sure “Loyola Graduate Also” is Dustin Cavallo, who is more of a JOKE than Loyola could ever be. I didn’t say that Ryan wasn’t a nice guy. But when you say stupid things without thinking about the consequences, ESPECIALLY with everything that has been going on (ie; Virginia Tech incident), you can’t be like “Oh, but I was just kidding!” and expect everyone on a college campus to be like “Oh, ok!”
And as for the First Amendment, a person’s rights stop where the next person’s rights begin. Yeah, you have freedom of speech, but when it can be taken as a threat to someone else’s life, then you don’t have that freedom anymore. Pretty hypocritical of you “Loyola Graduate Also” to claim that Ryan deserves freedom of speech, but you tell me that I need to shut my mouth. Brilliant.
As someone that new Ryan, I know that he did not mean what he said. I admit that in todays society, you cannot say the things that he alegedly said. However, since all his stuff was searched and no guns or deadly materials were found, he should be released. He should not have to bail out or wait for his court date. Someome’s life should not be ruined for a joking comment. The SOB who told on Ryan has done more wrong than Ryan has. And for the person who mentioned Loyola’s mission statement…shut up, you didnt go there, you dont know Ryan…so you don’t know what the hell you’re talking about.
Ryan is a sarcastic young man. He has been a friend to my son. He and his family attend our church . He has been to our home and we , to his, several times. It should not have been said, but I believe that it was not a serious threat. And why pick on Loyola , the school. My son had a great experience there. It is a great school, and we were priviledged to have the opportunity to go there. Thank goodness, we were able to get away from the Green and Gold.
no need to bring in the green and gold.. hes from loyola.
(I have known Ryan for six years) First of all, the Loyola students on the blog misspelling words are more of a joke than Ryan is. Ryan did not make Loyola look bad. His high school can not and WILL not take the blame for his behavior. His parents should. You should not allow your son to smoke weed (and they literally did). You should not allow your son to talk so vulgarly. You should not look the other way when he gets arrested…FOR THE FIRST TIME. The truth is when Ryan got arrested in the summer of 2006 he should have been sent to LSUS for a year. His parents never disciplined him and now look where he is. I am not saying that these charges are fair… Ryan has a bail that a serial killer would have. That is insane. But if you continue to do drugs, continue to hang out with the wrong people (AKA Tibbs, Pasley, and other stoners from Shreveport) you will end up in trouble, in jail, or dead. No doubt. Blame Loyola, and you are just terribly informed. It is not Mr. Israel’s responsibility; it’s Lisa and Richard Wargo’s. PERIOD. So all of you Loyola students that screwed around for four years, yea, I guess you could consider the school a joke…but the joke is on you for not being half the people you all could be. And for the record, Osama Bin Laden could be a valedictorian of Loyola and it would still be ten times better than Captain Shreve.
Ok, first of all there was no reason for you to talk about Tibbs, or Byron. I am a good friend of Ryan’s and also of the “wrong people” you mentioned. I have not gotten into any trouble with the law. Dont call these people stoners. Not everyone in that group is, most aren’t anymore. I don’t think Loyola should be mentioned at all. It has no bearing in his case. Do me a favor though, don’t make malicious comments about me and my friends.
A Man of Reason… I couldn’t have said it better myself.
I feel immature for reading all the way to the end of these blogs and even more immature for writing on this page but I feel compelled.
First of all, I cannot beleive that in the midst of the seriousness of this situation, you people are immature and pathetic enough as to play the blame game. It is unbelievable that high schools are being used as tools to make sense of all of this. “My high school is cooler than yours….oooooo.” Are you serious? Mr. Salvail, are you not an adult and father? What are you doing on this website writing about your hatred for Captain Shreve High School? Do you really feel that that was appropriate?
The bottom line is that in today’s society, he should not have threatened, joking or not, the life of a political figure. As smart as evryone is suggesting he is, I am suprised he did not know this. I agree that this is being blown out of proportion. However, this is what happens. The secret service is simply following procedure and soon his bond will most likely be lowered and he will be facing simple posession charges. For all of you who still feel that he was simply exercising his constitutional right to freedom of speech, it is illegal in this country to threaten the life of the President or political figure such as a U.S. Senator. Do some research; don’t make blind comments.
Which brings me to my final point; all of you that call yourself his friend, do you really think that you are making him look good with the blogs you are writing? Almost all of them are poorly composed, full of misspelled words, and your agruments are empty and juvenile. How credible can this make you?
Mr. Salvail:
Are you suggesting that Captain Shreve is to blame for all of your son’s mistakes? (i.e. multiple DWI’s and drug use)
“As smart as evryone is suggesting he is”– Here you are speaking about the composition of the comments above and yet you misspell a word yourself. Look, no one needs to be preached to about why Ryan is in jail, everyone obviously already knows. I do agree with the police taking the proper precautions for one reason: because the so called “threat” was reported to the police, the only reason it is even labeled a threat is because the person that Ryan was speaking with (messing, joking around with) took it to be one. The reason the kid was misled is because of the fact that he was not familiar with the way Ryan truly is, a jokester.
I attended Loyola College Prep with Ryan and I will definitely tell you that the school is not a joke. It just amazes me that “in the midst of the seriousness of this situation” someone would even try and point fingers at Ryan’s high school. That is ridiculous. I can not even begin to name all of the VERY successful people in this area who are labeled “Loyola College Prep graduates”.
For you to say something about Ryan’s parents in a situation like this is a true show of your all around character. I can see why you did not leave your name. I’m sure, whoever you are, that you HAVE NEVER said something that you did not mean, right? His parents feel bad enough already with the media bashing them, but now it is being done by people that, I’m sure, have no idea what great people they are. I KNOW that Mr. and Mrs. Wargo are and were COMPLETELY successful in raising both of their children up to this point in their lives. Have you ever met Lindsay Wargo? If I am not mistaken she graduated at the top of her high school class. She is one of the most intelligent people I know, not to mention the nicest. Success is definitely in her future. She must have had some GREAT parents. Gee, I guess they just gave up when it came to Ryan, huh? Ryan is a grown man with a mind of his own, he loves to kid around and unfortunately he joked with a person that took him seriously, PERIOD. He is, at this moment, taking responsibility for his actions. I think his life being ruined and his future gone is enough, don’t you? You can not question Ryan’s intelligence, he made in the 30s on his ACT, what did you make?
If you think I am writing this because of the law or actions taken you are completely wrong. I am writing this to support my buddy and his family. The media has already made them out to be some kind of monsters. I am upset about him being in the position he is in STRICTLY because of someone’s MISINTERPRETATION. All of you liberals who post these passages strictly on the basis of the law and media are missing the point to our supporting Ryan. I do not want an argument; I am too worried about my friend and wanted to enlighten you with a friend of the family’s view. It is 700,000,000 against about 500 when it comes to something like this. The most valuable evidence you have is the people that know the family and Ryan himself. Why don’t you take this into consideration instead of being so irrational with your opinions? Understanding why Ryan is in jail takes MERELY common sense of the law, on the other hand it takes much, much more to grasp why so many good people are hurt by this. I mean why would a guy with a million friends, great parents, a beautiful girlfriend, and the utmost intelligence want to ruin his life by committing such a crime? It blows my mind that you people are so blind.
You know, the thing about blogs is that you do not have to sign your real name and can hide anonymously Mine was not a personal attack. It was a difference of opinion. Several writers talked of their hatred for Loyola and its principal. I am not a fan of Captain Shreve. So what.
It was a difference of opinion. But please present facts. My sons were never, never arrested for any “drug use.” So someone who remains anonymous decides to slander my son by speaking of something he knows nothing about. Our problems at Shreve had more to do with than with personal problems that my son had. It dealt with principal, asst. principal, and teachers and I don’t want to go into it because it is none of your business. You really need to go back and read my comments again if you think that I said CS was the blame for my son’s mistakes. To Ryan and his family, we will pray for you and offer our assistance in any way we can.
A Man of Reason: For such an intellectual person, you could surely see how you sound like a pompous ass; right? I adore the fact that my name is brought into such a matter. I guess the polar ice caps will melt and that will be my fought also. As for me being a “stoner”, my criminal record is as clean as Hillary Clinton’s I’m pretty sure.. And my drive as good as ever. So far, I haven’t seen anyone on here that really knows much about the case so you all kind of sound mildly retarded. Please tell me you all are not dumb enough to listen to everything the media says? My friend calls me and says, “Byron, you have got to come over and look at this shit. Your on the internet.” This is what I wasted my time on; several fools that have their nose stuck up someone else’s ass. Enrich your own lives, please, for the sake of humanity.
After reading all of the comments I can honestly say how embarrassed I am for you all. To know that the majority of you are “adults” is outrageous and pitiful. For you to point fingers at a certain school, Ryan’s friends, and most importantly his family and then claim “anonymity” is juvenile and shows your lack of intelligence, for a better word.
I would like to justify that Ryan has some amazing friends—Dustin Cavallo, Byron Pasley, Scott Salvail, and Jonathan Thibodeaux are some of the greatest and smartest guys I can proudly call my friends—not to mention that Dustin Cavallo created the Support Group for Ryan on Facebook which has received national attention). For you “adults” to bring them into the situation and insult them is heartless and uncalled for. Secondly, who are you to say that the Wargo’s are to blame for Ryan’s actions? I personally know the Wargo family and they are truly amazing parents. Richard and Lisa have done a great job of raising their children. They are both intelligent and well-rounded kids. We all know Ryan as the “jokester” who said the wrong thing, to the wrong person, at the wrong time. Which brings me to my point: Ryan said the wrong thing. Period.
In this time of despair, the least you could do is be a little supportive of their family. If that is too much to ask for, simply put yourself in this family’s situation. If you haven’t noticed the news has taken care of bashing this family so for you all to insult them even further is inhumane. At a time like this, when you feel like all hope is lost, having support and knowing people are on your side can make a huge difference. I will continue to pray for Ryan, his family, Katianne (my best friend), and Ryan’s friends and I will continue to support them until the end.
Byron you do drugs… you are not the person i would want my kids to hang out with… you are the wrong crowd. I am sorry if this is to much to handle but shouldnt you learn from Clayton’s death? Stop doing drugs and you will be giving the benefit of the doubt- the message above had no evidence of your innocence- it’s not about you it’s about Ryan. This is all very unfair, but dont you think its ironic how bad things happen to people who DO DRUGS. Go take DARE again and make something of your life.
Hey “A man of Reason”… You Suck.
“A man of Reason” -First of all get a new name because your “reasoning” is slandering and offensive to people. Secondly, quit terrorizing Byron. Byron has been a good friend to Ryan and was the first person who attempted to bail Ryan out, until we found out the severity of what really happened. I find it amazing how you sit there and insult people, but you won’t even reveal your name. Pretty cowardly, I might add. Also I might add that Byron is making something of his life. He’s an LSU student which is pretty hard to say these days. And your comment about “how its ironic that bad things happen to people who do drugs” is not credible. Bad things happen to everyone–good or bad.
Quite frankly most people here are either taking shots at Ryan or defending him with a very limited knowledge of the facts. Just being a friend, even a good one, does not give one an intimate knowledge of the facts concerning the case. We really don’t know much about the case at this time. It has been stated “Officers searched his dormitory room and found documents that made the classmate’s accusations appear credible. ” We don’t know what was found, however, I am guessing the judge who set the bond at $1,000,000 probably was aware of what was discovered.
We do know that he was in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. Despite the fact that he has been called “brilliant” and that his ACT score was 30+ does not exclude him from also being a moron. Sometimes even smart people can be downright stupid and that appears to be the case here. The truth is; he did not just say the wrong thing, to the wrong person, at the wrong time, he also appears to have left solid evidence that suggests that he might follow up on those words. And finally, please do say things like “I mean why would a guy with a million friends, great parents, a beautiful girlfriend, and the utmost intelligence want to ruin his life by committing such a crime?” You sound like Terrel Owens’s agent after he overdosed. Fact is despite all that (ie. the utmost intelligence, great parents, beautiful girlfriend) he did commit a crime by being in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Did he really intend to commit other crimes? That we don’t know. As of today though, I have not heard of him being released or his bond lowered. I hope the most serious charges are not true, but at this time, only Ryan knows that.
To a Man of Reason,
This is a reply to your latest comments about a young man of endless resolve. You are a sad little man of minor reason, who if a man at all, should place your name after such a riduculas response. A response of finger pointing and temper related accusations on a group of nice young men. Me personally am not a fan of “weed” or loyola. A school of hypocrits and crack smoking teachers. I know for a fact that loyola teachers binge drink with students and probably consume more weed than the students themselves. I practice law in Florida, Texas, and Lousiana. And if i found out who you are i will have you tried for “Defreation of Charcter,” a very big law suit will follow, in which will be sent to the parents of Ryan, or other kids you slander. It is the slander of ones name( either in text of verbally) to hinder ones personal aspects. If anyone is to blame, it is the likes of ignorant little men like yourself, or the faculty of Loyala. If you are a man at all i want your name kind sir. —-A bigger man than you will ever attempt
Wow, A Man of Reason: I have been thinking.Hmm, A person who has such a strong passion for Loyola. It does not add up to me. You bash a former student from Loyola, telling him you know he does drugs etc. and then you praise the school. Now what kind of person would do that, well, I mean, I guess I could understand. I mean you things that only FRIENDS of Ryan would (about his arrest and his friend’s nickname being “Tibbs”). Maybe you know this because you have been breathing down their necks for 4 years. You WOULD bring up Clayton. It is pretty obvious who you are and I feel sorry for you. You already know that on this wall your OPINIONS get shut down, this makes me know that your intentions have nothing to do with Ryan, they have EVERYTHING to do with defending a school. You have really said enough. These people’s views on Loyola are not going to change. Next time, try to be less obvious.
A man of reason i am definately going to have to agree with dustin. Clayton had nothing to do with this and for you to bring him up is completely disrespectful and insulting. Say what you want about the case, but there is no reason to bring the deceased into this.
Although im not 100% sure who a man with reason is, other former students and myself have come to the conclusion that a man with reason is no other than loyolas current principle mr. Isreal, if we are correct please be man enough to at least admit it. If so we find that it is very inappropriate for a man in your position to talk of former students this way, and you should be ashamed of yourself.
Ryan said the wrong thing at the wrong time. I make that statement with no equivocations whatsoever. Conversely, some of the blogs written above contain the most outrageous comments I have ever heard. A man of reason is not really an appropriate name considering you’ve spent more time ridiculing Ryan’s friends, disrespecting Mr. Salvail and committing more slander and libel than Fox, ABC, and The Advocate combined. Not to mention your unnecessary comment toward Clayton; consider staying on the subject and letting him rest in peace. You should be ashamed of yourself. The fact that you think Ryan deserves the completely absurd charges that are to be placed on him solely confirms your lack of competence. I understand that Homeland Security was just doing their jobs. However, when they realized their oversight, they should have discontinued the entire investigation. All of Ryan’s charges should be expunged with the exception of the minor marijuana possession. If you think you can refute anything I just said, I would be very grateful to see it. Until then, you can read this incessantly until you find a misspelled word or a grammatical error.
(I would like to kick you square in the side of the head.)
Free the Joker
Richard Ryan Wargo is a 100% fellon and you all can say whatever the hell you f***ing want. Wargo should go back to prison and stay there for all I care. If you call yourself a friend of this man, if you can even call him a man, you should try and help him stop being such a drug head who goes around insulting the first woman running for president in our history. Also I would like to add that I am voting for Hilary Clinton and that makes me dislike this young man even more. What do you ingrates think of this.
Ha, I was just told to read some of this, and you obviously have a lot of time on your hands A man of Reason. Drugs has nothing to do with this. Only if you knew how many kids smoke some pot in high school. Much less, do you really know how many political figures do drugs? We already know that you don’t like pot(because some how it makes kids bad; right?). But honestly, Clayton was one of my good friends, so please do not bring him up. Drugs, Loyola, and Ryan’s parents had nothing to do with this. He is not 5 years old, he can speak for himself and make his own decisions. By the way, you really are up Hillary’s ass. Go ahead and vote for her, I am pretty sure your vote means a lot to everyone on this board. “Richard Ryan Wargo is a 100% fellon”- I believe he is innocent until proven guilty.
A Man of Reason:
I am find your name ironic, in and of itself; you seem to be a gut-less, coward to me. I agree with William Haynie in saying that you have brought up no valid points and only repeated false claims they you probably saw on the news. You brought up Clayton? How disrespectful can you be? You have only wasted space on this blog.
And to the author of this blog:
You knew what you were doing when you put that he graduated from Loyola and OUR mission statement. You knew it would stir up an argument on this site. It really is a disgraceful piece of crap.
To A Man of Reason (again): Did I spell “gut-less” right? Does it have a hyphen or not? Why don’t you tell everyone here who you are? Coward!
Lastly, I would like to say that Ryan Wargo is one of my favorite people know. And, I would like to point out that he is NOT a felon. If you would read this article again, you find something quite interesting. The first sentence contains a word that provides Ryan with his inalienable right of INNOCENCE until proven otherwise!
If you could not find it, it is the eighth word.
The name ‘a man of reason’ does not fit you. You are obviously a communist bastard that would love for Hil-Dog to be in office so that your low budget income might be the same as ours some day. There is no reason in your mindless rants. However, I will not hold your stupidity against you, maybe someday I might give you a job.
A man of reason, where do you get off attacking my friends. You start with Ryan, which I understand how you feel. It is your right to disagree, but to bring up my others friends who are completely unrelated to this topic. I hope you feel you actions are as deplorable as I feel. You should feel very ashamed for bringing Clayton up. You can say your a bigger man than I will ever be, but your posts show quite the opposite. I don’t sit around all day fighting with young adults, and digging up painful memories from their past so I can feel good about myself. The next thing I would like to discuss with you, is why you do this? Do you have some self worth issue that has motivated you to become such a cretin? You say you practice law in three states, yet you are condeming the man already. I hope I never commission you sir to get me out of prison. I am personally humiliated for you. I apologize to every one who has had to read this man’s filth. I believe you owe several people an apology. The sad thing is that you could not get your point across without mentioning other people. All I can hope for, is that you will be forgiven for what you have done, because assuming your christian, you sir appear to be on a spiral towards hell.
The guidelines for all blogs say
#1–no personal attacks, and
#2–no foul language
This sight has become a “disgraceful piece of crap”, because of the biased, unfounded, untruths that have become synonymous with this sight. It is a shame that constructive comments could not be made about an interesting story that concerns a local high school student. It is also a shame that cowards, nameless cowards, have to use this means to get attention. How sad is that for those individuals.
Attorney: LSU student didn’t mean threats against Hillary Clinton
May 8, 2007
The Associated Press
BATON ROUGE - It was stupid to threaten U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton, but the LSU student arrested for doing so never meant to act against the presidential candidate, his attorney says.
Richard Ryan Wargo, 19, of Shreveport, is out on $100,000 bond, as part of which he must have his mental health evaluated and get therapy if that is recommended, attorney Frank Holthaus said Monday.
He described Wargo as a peaceful person, and not a loner or dangerous.
“In this day and age, you have to be much more careful about what comes out of your mouth,” Holthaus said. “Over time people will see this for what it was.”
He said Wargo was released to his parents’ custody Monday, after they posted two $50,000 bonds, one cash and one property.
District Judge Mike Erwin reduced the bond from the $1 million he had set Thursday, when Wargo was booked terrorism, communicating false information of planned arson, and possession of both marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Along with the evaluation, he said Wargo must be supervised by Capitol City Probation, submit to random urinalysis, follow a 9 p.m. curfew and - when not a full-time student - live with his parents.
Wargo was arrested after a classmate told LSU Police that he had twice talked about killing Clinton, D-N.Y., and asked if the classmate were interested in helping. When the classmate learned Clinton was to speak at a convention Saturday in Baton Rouge, he told police about Wargo’s threats, LSU Police Chief Rickey Adams said Friday.
According to the arrest warrant, Wargo asked the classmate if he wanted to participate in terrorism that would be a “national event” and involve Clinton.
It alleges that when the classmate asked Wargo whether such an attack would only make Clinton more popular, Wargo replied: “True, but have you ever heard of a dead president?”
Holthaus said the comments were viewed as much more dangerous because of the shootings last month in which 32 died at Virginia Tech.
“In the old days, if we didn’t have Virginia Tech and if Hillary Clinton was not actually in Baton Rouge at the time, people might have been able to see this otherwise,” Holthaus said. “These aren’t the old days.”
Terrorizing carries up to 15 years in prison and a $15,000 fine, and communicating false information of a planned arson carries up to 20 years in prison.
He most certainly should be expelled for at least his marijuana charges. A second offense is a big deal! Why do these kids always get 3rd and 4th chances! That is why Clayton is not with us today, because people kept giving him chances when he needed to be rectified! Ryan will continue to smoke weed, EVERYDAY, and ruin the intelligence that you all claim he has to the utmost. I hope his parents send him to Centenary or BPCC for their sake, for they must save his life now more than ever. And if none of this happens… I hope Ryan sees this as a wake up call, he needs to make changes. He is not been the same Ryan since the beginning of his junior year- FYI: I did not post the thing about Ryan being a 100% fellon nor did I claim to vote for Hilary or practice law- someone is imposing me. I am the man of Reason- and that was certainly not Reason- what I say may be harsh but it is 100% fact. Challenge anything I have said as not being true or agreed upon by 90% of adults then I will tell you my name. Otherwise consider me the one that will speak of sense and not of sympathy. Friend of Ktanne and Ryan- bad things happen to everyone, that is a fact, but it is also true that if you do drugs, you increase the likelyhood of screwing up your life.
It is most certainly not a fact and 90% of adults would not agree that “[Ryan’s parents] never disciplined him.”
So now that somehting you’ve said has been “challenged”. Enlighten the rest of the people here with who you are?
I see that as a challenge. I do not agree that Ryan’s parents have not disciplined him. So Mr. Man of Reason, your name please.
After reading this entire page of entries, my break from studying from exams, i am going to attempt to make a comment that shall surmise everything that is written. First of all, yes i do consider myself a friend of ryans, and to those of you have have blatantly attacked his character, you better have checked out the Life Story of Ryan Wargo from the library, or his close friends are going to grill you. I mean did you seriously think you could pick a fight and expect not to get hit? And to the debate about shreve and loyola and which one is better, the answer is neither. I attend a college in dallas texas and i can surely tell you that louisiana’s standard for education does an absolutly pitiful job preparing its students for college. Dont test me on this one either, because we both know this one is true. And to the man of reason(s), whoever you are, i have experience in dealing with the college judicial systems, at many distinguished universities around the country, and no where have i seen a student expelled for drug usage or possesion of paraphenelia. now if you want to go dig up lsu’s judicial code and prove me wrong go for it, im not going to get into a pissing contest with you over this. And bringing up Clayton, yea thats just horribly shocking and i am appalled and a tad bit angry because you brought him up. remember. slandering the dead just isnt cool. And why would you insult his friends like that, i may not personally know some of them, but they have nothing to do with ryans current situation and therefore you must have commented about them only because you dont like the lifestyles they live or you are just subconsciously jealous of how ryan has such a large group of friends. And dont question his parents way of raising and discipling there children. I mean, do you know what it is like to raise children, i ask because i know not who you are, because i dont, but i can assure that it is a handful. Oh and you are right about speaking from sense, and not from sympathy, but next time be sure not to take your final line from the book of cliches. In saying that I will now go back to studying, and if you would like to get into a debate with me about what i have said ill be more than willing to engage, as would any of his friends as well.
A man of Reason- Your comments are no longer needed. He is out and will be fine. Everything you have said means nothing. The people that know what they are doing made the right decision. If you are in fact an adult, I’m sorry that your maturity level is so low. I will again ask you to not mention my deceased friend. It seems as if you are jealous or something. Why would someone feel so strongly about something that has nothing to do with him. Obviously Ryan would not consider you as a friend, I’m sure you were picked on as a kid and I’m sorry. There is not reason to take your anger out on someone you are jealous of. Oh yea and one thing you are completely inaccurate about is :”Ryan will continue to smoke weed, EVERYDAY” Wow, you are intelligent, huh? I guess he wont have a Probation Officer who periodically drug tests him? Wow. I’m sorry you are so bitter, at least God loves you.
You mindless bigot. What kind of an? A second offense is a big deal? You have obviously never left this state, the south, or the country. You are aware that there are states in this country that one can LEGALLY possess marijuana? In other states, the authorities would have laughed at such a minute amount of marijuana, given you a small fine(less than $100), and sent you on your way. Unfortunately Ryan was arrested in Louisiana and this was not the case. As for you and your constant bashing and your absolute policy on stating that he and others are destined to be, ‘in trouble, jail, or dead,’ you sir, are a fool. I guess you would consider these people “Loser DRUGHEADS” that also made nothing of their life.
-WILLIAM CLINTON aka BILLARY Clinton - 42nd President of the U.S., unfaithful husband - ‘Well, I did smoke pot, but I didn’t inhale. And I was in England, so it doesn’t really count. Plus, no-one saw me. So what’s the big fuss? The half million people arrested for pot last year are just sore losers.”
-George Washington - 1st U.S. President - Openly smoked and farmed marijuana.
-Sigmund Freud - Father of Psychoanalysis, Physician - Avid cocaine user and mild opium smoker.
I am really sick of looking at this blog everyday and seeing so much negativity. Tha fact is Ryan is out on bail which is such a blessing because everyone in this blog knows he didnt deserve to be in prison! The attempted arson or terrorist charges will be dropped in a matter of time. Ryan will no longer be a national news figure. And he will be able to put his life back together, because he is a very driven and intelligent young man. We all should move on from this blog, this negativity. A man of Reason just doesnt matter anymore.
