Bush has not been able to establish a true democracy in Iraq as the people there were against the U.S. staying in Iraq. The U.S. was only able to control about 40% of Baghdad. The insurgents have assassinated many friends of the U.S. and infiltrated the government. There were up to four million insurgents and less than 200,000 U.S. soldiers. There were no nuclear, biological, or chemical weapons stockpiles found. The administration was informed before the invasion that Niger uranium documents showing Iraq trying to acquire uranium were forged. The names on the document were not the names of Niger officials. There were tens of thousands of dead Iraqi civilians. Hundreds of thousands were forced to flee their homes. Oil production there is less than before the war. The U.S. has suffered corrupt no bid contracts and hundreds of billions of debt. Inflation is currently 7-11 percent:

Bush and Rudy Giuliani's statement that the war is not a mistake are somehow ignorant of reality. It is no wonder Bush's approval rating has fallen to all time lows. He led the nation into an ambush and did not caculate the costs.
