The family of bodies found murdered along a Florida turnpike earlier this week have been identified as the bodies of Jose Luis Escobedo Jr., killed the day before his 29th birthday; Yessica Escobedo, 25; and their two sons, Luis Damian aged 3 and 4-year-old Luis Julian. The bodies were found shot multiple times early Friday morning while kneeling on the ground, the two boys were found clutched in their mother’s arms in what investigators have to assume is a protective position. The initial thoughts of the investigators on the case is that the family pulled their car over to the side of the road sometime between 1 am and 3:30 am when someone else in the car killed them and drove off. The car, a black 1998 4-door Jeep Cherokee with a Florida temporary tag that read M952180, is now considered a suspect vehicle and is being searched for by authorities. Anyone with any information on this case is urged to contact the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office at 772-462-3230 or 1-800-273-TIPS for those who wish to be anonymous.
