Ed’s friend was playing with gun, pointing it at someone. First safety rule, all guns are loaded and keep it pointed in a safe direction. No matter what you are doing, breaking the safety rules brings trouble. People cut off limbs with saws and are maimed for life because they didn’t follow the safety rules.
Where does ED get his statistics? Not from CDC. Because no facts are cited, how convient that we can’t check those statistics.
Where does Ed live? in a “safe zone”? does Ed have an alarm company that monitors his residence? What kind of physical abilities does Ed have? When Ed is confronted, can he spray someone with pepperspray and run? I can’t. I have physical limitations that no amount of martial arts training or spray the pepperspray will help. I guess I’m at everyone’s mercy. Don’t tell me to stay somewhere safe. should I stay in a room for the rest of my life to “stay safe”. The way I see it, my chances of being in an auto accident are higher than shot by my gun.
Come to the real world with the rest of us. Remember, that politician that opposes guns has several armed body guards. The candidate will not get hurt, but the “average Joe” is of no concern to them. Look at Hurricane Katrina. Where was law enforcement to protect the law abiding citizens?
