Plain and simple. It was obvious to everyone except those at CBS. Who is making these personnel decisions? Bringing in re-tread Rick Kaplan only adds further "confusement." Couric wasn't No. 1 on the Today Show all those years for nothing. CBS needs to muster the courage to use Couric’s strengths instead of cramming her into the box that they say fits evening news coverage.
