One of the submarines that was part of our group, USS Blueback, is at the OMSI. The reunion was scheduled for October 2009, which is the 50th anniversary of the commissioning of the class. As a result of the demonstration, some of our members do not believe that they can, in good conscience, spend their money there. We are now looking for another place to have our reunion. People who do not respect the very people who make it possible for them to demonstrate don't deserve our money or our time. And,no, the U.S. is not like a piece of newspaper or a paper bag.
