Okay.  $1.65 Billion and YouTube belongs to Google.  I love Google.  It is super for research and finding just about anything in the whole world.  I especially love the Google ads… they are not flashy, do not pop up on top of what I’m trying to read, they are extremely helpful in finding the things I want to buy.

But…

What will YouTube be like now?  Admittedly, I don’t go there very often.  I’m not addicted to it like I am to the general internet.  However, I do like those crazy, goofy and often rib-splitting funny videos that… listen carefully… Do.  Not. Have. Commercials. Or Horrid. Ads.

I can’t click on any CBS or Fox or ABC video without having to first listen to a 60 second ad.  They are not funny and they are ridiculous because who is going to hop up from their computer to go wash clothes or to change a baby’s diaper?  No one.  Give me a break… please!  I detest the commercials because they interfere with my viewing pleasure.  At least on TV I can fast forward through them.  Once a long time ago in a galaxy far away, I actually listened to one of those commercials and I bought the product.  It did not do what it said it would do.  The company would not give me my money back.  I was disillusioned and disappointed.  I did not cry, but I also did not buy that product again.  Is there any safe place these days?  The movies are filled with foul words from foul people and the regular TV channels are filled with commercials interspersed with approximately 2 minutes of show time.  It’s a wonder I can keep up with the story line… oh, yeah, I’ve fast forwarded through the 5 minutes of commercials.
