Censorship and those who advocate it in any form pose a far more insidious threat to our children then any pervert ever could. The want of "intellectuals" from the right and left to "protect" the children is a tired mantra. My daughter laughs when she boots up a computer and finds parental controls switched on, The law it self was absurd to begin with and the Judge who struck it down is to be commended for his ruling. I take the position that freedom of speech in any form no matter how utterly it may offend me, irrespective of how repugnant and vile I find it may be is an inherent right of expression in a free Republic. I would wish in a better world then we have now that exploitation of sexuality for commercial profit could be eradicated through education. But since it ain't going to happen anytime soon. Perhaps our politicians could spend some time working on stuff that actually has a chance of improving the daily lot of those who pay the bills of government rather then enacting legislation which accomplishes nothing but to further erode the legacy of liberty we should be protecting for our children.
