By Landing Badjie,Our National Correspondent Police Charge Murder Suspect The Gambian police have today charged Mrs. Tabara Samba with murder. Mrs. Samba has been charged with the offence of killing her husband by splashing boiling oil on him in their Old Jeshwang residence in the Kanifing municipality. The deceased, Ebrima Nyan,64, succumbed to the burns last Friday at the Intensive Care Unit of the Royal Teaching Hospital following the incident on Tuesday, March 6. In his hospital bed, Mr. Nyan was quoted as saying that the incident came to him as a shocking surprise for there was no love lost between him and his Senegalese wife. But according to sources close to the couple, the incident was engendered by Tabara’s suspicion that her late husband was at an advanced stage of taking a second wife.
