you don’t believe that underground lava rivers contribute to the changes in ocean temps? which do have an effect on the air? could’nt that be a reason that los angeles’s soil can’t hold moisture like it once could? because of atmosphere changes caused by ocean water temp changes?

This commentary is just another opinion that purports the “facts” but fails to give the whole picture and so offers the wrong conclusions. For example, the ice cores show that in prehistory temperatures often began rising 800 years before levels of CO2. In actuality, temperature and C02 are bound together – when either one goes up, the other will follow. Today’s situation is different than prehistory, because for the first time ever enormous amounts of extra C02 are being released and of course, the observed global temperature is rising.

Your article focuses on the benighted few who wage war against on all who are not as liberal as they are. I strongly recommend that you stop reading any press releases on the subject matter of global warming and read only scientific journals. You will find that a great deal of research indicates we should do something very soon about the carbon-energy cycle and how that relates both to the vitality of our planet and our economic needs as a nation.
