For example, the ice cores show that in prehistory temperatures often began rising 800 years before levels of CO2.  In actuality, temperature and C02 are bound together - when either one goes up, the other will follow. Today&#039;s situation is different than prehistory, because for the first time ever enormous amounts of extra C02 are being released and of course, the observed global temperature is rising.]]></description>
