No, the Chinese aren’t scared of black people, they’re just don’t understand hip-hop.

The Chinese Ministry of Culture, a branch of the Chinese government, has refused to allow Jay-Z perform his Oct. 23 concert at Shanghai’s Hongkou Stadium.

The council, in particular, disagreed with the lyrics in the song Big Pimpin’.

Jay-Z says he hopes to reschedule the concert. A concert in Asia will prove fruitful as most Asians* will pay to see an actual black person live.
