=== Fooling with your own data is breaking the law? I don’t think so.

======= Postscript: So all you cheating spouses, the solution is to format your hard drive after using the computer!

and although i wouldn't like to help cheating spouses format reads data x3 but not erases...
author maybe fishing for comments or just ignorant... bad blog practice..

You make an interesting observation. It is to the best of my knowlege not illegal to do anything you like to your own data. That is why I asked the question. Mr. Lucich opted to do what many interviewee's do, not answer the hard questions.

I for one think that it would make for an interesting court case. My computer, my data, my meddling with the data, and I am being prosecuted for it!

I am not a lawyer, but I am pretty sure that I am reasonably solid ground.

If you are interested, I am just starting up a new idea with the publicists that I go through, to actually get the authors to take an active part in any comment feedback. If you would like I would be happy to pose the question to Mr. Lucich.
