Good news for murderous dictators everywhere.
The killing of 100 000 Bosnians in a one sided war was not a “genocide”. Even the killing of 8000 at Srebrenica was not genocide, since it not ordered by the Serbian government.
This is, of course, good news. That means that a “civil war” where one side has the army and guns is fighting against another side who has deer rifles thanks to “sanctions” and they deliberately aim to kill civilians, it’s okay. No genocide here, folks, just move along.
And for those unaware of Yugoslavian history: This “war” had a lot to do with the geopolitics and tribal fueds that dates back to the Byzantine empire, and little to do with religion, since at the time the war started, only about 5% of the population of that country bothered to attend churches or mosques.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackThe Court re-affirmed that the Srebrenica massacre was a Genocide and found Serbia responsible for not preventing Genocide.
No, the ICJ found that Srebrenica constituted genocide. The Bavarian Court which was assigned the case of two Bosnian-Serb soldiers in charge of Prijedor were found guilty of 4 counts of genocide during 1992 by the German Courts. The US congress ruled that “The Serbian Policies from 1992-1995 amount to genocide.” Most people consider the period to be genocide, and if history holds true that probably will always be. The Armenian Genocide is genocide, but very few countries recognize it cause Turkey refuses to deal with them if they do. I think the ICJ should have found Serbia guilty of genocide from april 92-november 92′ and Srebrenica. Those were the paticular periods in Bosnia when the most genocidal activities occured in the villiages in east and north Bosnia. The problem was part that Milosevic used so many different paramilitaries to do murderous work together, that its difficult to prove in court that the Republika Srpska had genocidal “intent” in 1992. Srebrenica was almost all Mladic and Karadzic so the case was like a sla dunk. You only need to be convicted of one act of genocide to go to jail for life. Its like prosecuting serial killers, you only need to find them guilty of 1 to put them away for life.
Germany and German courts. What do you expect. They are one of the generators of Yugoslav civil war. It’s all about historical revanshism against Serbs, who stood twice against them in First and Second World War.
On the other hand Americans, and their honesty, so many times proven as false. They committed genocide by killing 50.000.000 native Americans, and who knows how many Iraqis (500.000 I guess), afghanis, lybians etc. They actually introduced this word GENOCIDE in Yugoslav civil war just to demonise Serbs to get “go ahead” in bombing campaign against them from their naive folks (voters). Serbs are the only nation in the Balkans who didn’t have a SS DIVISION in Second World War. Americans new, if they beat the Serbs there will be no resistance in dissolving Yugoslavia.
Srebrenica is the Myth, again to get approval to bomb the proud and rebellious Serbs (in fact the real GOOD GUYS). Did anyone check how many Serbs have been killed by Naser Oric and his cut throat escadron in the Srebrenica surrounding villages prior to “srebrenica massacre”. You’ll be surprised if the number is EVEN.
Just stop it once for all portraying Serbs as bad guys. They’ve been fighting for survival, like they did for centuries before. Look what happened with them in “Ustasha Croatia”. Ustashas finished what they started with their fasist leader PAVELIC in the 2WW. There are no more Serbs in Croatia. We, in Bosnia, knew that they were preparing the same for us und we stopped it. LONG LIVE SERBAN REPUBLIC
