Well, you might get lauds if you post this at the Daily kos, but a lot of us live next door to Christian Conservatives, and come to think of it, they are more likely to bring over chicken soup when you are sick than put a burning cross on your lawn.
You know, I've lived under dictatorships.
In a dictatorship, you would disappear during the night for criticizing or making a joke about beloved leader.
In a dictartorship, I'd be arrested for necking with my fiance.
In a dictatorship, I'd be beaten for showing my ankled, killed by my brother for having sex before marriage, and forbidden to drive a car.
In a dictatorship, I'd be forced to throw away my religious books to enter the country even if I were going there to work as a nurse in their hospitals.
In a dictatorship, I would be arrested if I accidentally gave medicine to a government opponant.
In a dictatorship, I might disappear and have my body dumped down a mineshaft because I witnessed a government hit job.
In a dictatorship, you get your papers checked traveling from city to city in a private car.
In a dictatorship, newspaper men are high on the list of people who need insurance, because they are killed if they write against crooked politicians.
Now, what part of "dictatorship" don't you understand.
And don't tell me I don't know what I'm talking about. All of these things happen to me or family members in various countries we have lived in.
