It IS obvious to all of us that Allison Quets was VERY sick during pregnancy and after delivery? Is that reason to take her children permanently? She was seeking guardianship and help, not loss and grief and this nightmare. She was coerced. And let's not forget that the Needhams and their attorneys failed to file ICPC (Interstate Child Protection Compact) paperwork, so if signing things is the issues, let's truly address that. How do I know the ICPC paperwork was neglected? NC (where the Needhams took the twins) has a SEVEN day waiting period, a wait that was obviously not adhered to as Ms. Quets was calling 911 during the supposed signing. We would never be here debating if the ICPC documents were completed.

She needed help, for sure. But she did not need her children stolen (yes, I said stolen). The Needhams left FL with the babies and without the ICPC complete. That's illegal, not to mention immoral to continue on with the process knowing Ms. Quets wanted help to be able to parent the babies. Was she able to at the time of their birth? Obviously not, due to health complications, but that does not (nor can it ever mean) she did not want to parent.

As for the assumption that the prospective adoptive parents (yes, I said prospective as they have not finalized or taken proper legal steps to finalize) are a great home...well, that isn't clear to anyone as no one has heard from the Needhams. Why is Ms. Quets terrified for the safety of her children? She isn't just miserable without them...she is terrified for them.

Finally, let me a question...the next step in the logic you present in your reply: if anyone gets a serious long-term illness (like HG or like PPD can be), then their babies should be taken because the mother is unable to provide care? Isn't that when others (even the State) steps in to help? That language really angers me...illness can strike at any time with any one of us: me; Allsions; you, lise; anyone. I guarantee being sick with, say, breast cancer has not made women on chemo want to (or be made to) place their children for adoption.

What a heartless nation we are when the terribly ill are victimized instead of cared for.

I think she should not have any more access to the children. Sorry, but she signed the papers twice.

The twins are obviously doing well in their adoptive home and the only parents they know right now are the people raising them. Why should they be taken away from the only home they've ever known? Yes I can feel sympathy for Allison, however, but by the time this goes to trial in 8-9 months, the twins will not remember her at all; she will be a stranger. She was given the opportunity to be involved as this was an open adoption; however she abused the privilege and all rights by kidnapping the kids.

Watching Dr. Phil, it's obvious the woman is very ill and can't take care of herself, never mind twins.
