News Item:
Technique helps women
grow their own implants.
Do not adjust your screen, do not refresh the page, just go up and look again. You read it right the first time. Through the use of stem cell research, science has found a way for women to grow their own breast implants. Not in theory, not hypothetically. They’ve already done it.
The technique was first tried in 2004, and successfully re-employed 38 times since. It involves taking stem cells from a woman’s own fat, and using them grow new breast tissue. There apparently have been no side effects, and no signs of rejection, since the cells come from the woman’s own body. The extent of enlargement though, seems to be tied to the individual woman’s body-fat ratio. Thinner women have achieved a bit less enhancement, but the labs are hard at work on that problem.
It’s good to see that science has its priorities in line. Boobs were obviously at the top of the list. Now that that’s been perfected, maybe they can move along, and work on little things like alzheimers, and spinal cord injuries.

I liked the line in the linked story:
British surgeons said yesterday they were convinced by the technique and found it “appealing”.
If you are not aware of the entire scientific report, which you obviously are not, do not report it. I am a former member of one of the labs that has attempted this. The major goal of these studies is not to make breast implants for women who simply want larger breasts. The major goal is to help women who have had a mastectomy because of breast cancer. Currently, their only other options include prosthetic implants, such as saline, or special bras.
I take great offense to comments such as this, not only because I work in the field, but also because my mother died from breast cancer. In the future, before you look like an uninformed person and make snide comments again, be sure to understand ALL of the information included in scientific reports, or don’t comment at all.
Stem cell technologies and advancements are being made on an almost daily basis. From Japan to China to the U.S. to Europe, Africa and Russia, the world’s scientists and medical experts have been studying, and using, stem cells treatments and stem cell therapy to treat a wide range of illnesses, injuries and disease processes, including but not limited to Neurological diseases, Blood-borne Cancers, Organ Cancers, Heart Disease processes, Musculoskeletal Conditions and Injuries, Hormonal, Immune and Circulatory Issues and Cosmetic and Reconstruction Treatments.
