The fact is that referring to kids and families is the only good secular argument against same sex marriage that opponents can muster. Without that, the only reason to oppose it is either to argue the &#8220;slippery slope&#8221; of polyamory and bestiality, or simply to say &#8220;because the Bible tells me so.&#8221; The former argument is obviously demeaning, and the latter doesn&#8217;t fly with enough people anymore for it to stick.
