		<description>In fact there was an election in Myanmar back in 1991. The result gave a clear majority to the party of Aung San Suu Kyi. Unfortunately the election results were never respected by the military generals. The question is whethe the prospects are better now. It is the same military regime in power. On the other hand there has been years of international and domestic pressure.
We will have to wait and see.
