Most people realize that Trump has an uneasy relationship with the truth, to use the great comment from Kellyanne Conway he uses ‘Alternative facts’. A good example of this was, twice twice this week he claimed that his father Fred Trump was born in Germany, This is complete rubbish, Fred Trump was born in New York, in his ‘ghost written’ Art Of The Deal, he says that Fred was born in New York.

Of course it doesn’t matter one iota where Fred Trump was born, it is merely an example of Trump changing the facts to fit the narrative of the moment.

However, as is the case with many Trump facts there are shreds of truth if you dig around. His grandfather Frederich Trump was born in Bavaria and emigrated to the US at age 16.

This brings us to the other WTF comment this week, wind turbines cause cancer:

“The thing makes so much noise, and of course it’s like a graveyard for birds,” Trump said at a campaign fundraising dinner. “And they say the noise causes cancer. You tell me that one, okay?”

Yes the occasional bird meets its end buy getting smacked by the revolving blades, there is not one shred of evidence that Wind Turbines case Cancer.

But, once again there is some truth behind why Trump hates Wind Turbines. His golf resort in Aberdeenshire, Scotland has been mired in controversy for years, I won’t re-litigate it here, if you want to read about it and watch the documentaries the article is here.

The latest controversy, and possibly a very expensive one concerns a plan for 11 Wind Turbines placed off-shore of the golf course. They would ruin the view was the major argument by Trump.

This case has been wending its way through the legal system for years, I believe it started in 2011 and in 2015 was heard by the British Supreme Court, not wanting to get involved in Scottish problems, they punted the the problem to the Scottish Government.

The result is that the wind farm will go ahead, and that Trump is liable for all legal bills.

I suspect that Trump is beginning to think that Scotland has lost it’s appeal, I believe that the government has nixed his plans for a second course and also the 2500 unit housing project.
