While non a gun-ho republican - I do support George and have for over a dozen years as a New Yorker and later - a Washington, DC resident. He is the only republican that can win the Presidential election in 2008. A republican candidate at this point in 2007 - is unlikely unless than can capture enough votes from the far left to the far right. George can - the far right will vote for him because they want him to appoint conservative jurists - which he had demonstrated very well in New York he will. The far left - well - given George is a libertarian - he gets the left and in the center - well - 3 wins as a republican running for governor in New York kinds of shuts just about all of us up and again - George Pataki is on the only republican that can win the Presidential ticket in 2008. For your information, Mr. Schussler. the only time that Pataki ever acted "expeditiously" was in securing photo ops, flying around in lobbyist aircraft, appointing hacks to jobs where they could pig out at the public trough and, as his wife Libby would say, do things because "George and I need the money". He is an opportunist only interested in filling his own pockets while appearing as a "statesman" and uttering banal sonorous platitudes.
