Soon, Sharp will introduce a PDA-sized device, much like the one the U.S. military has been using since 2003, called the Pharselator.  The gadget will translate spoken English into Japanese, and vice versa.  It will come equipped with IBM speech recognition software.  It resembles the Sony PSP Talkman, but it is far more sophisticated.  Sharp’s target price for the market will be in the realm of $500.
