The Motorola Razr is the skinniest cellphone on the market…for now.  But in 2007 consumers can expect to find an even slimmer handsets on the market, thanks to LG Phillips.

Late last week, LG Phillips unveiled its newest creation, the TFT-LCD.  The TFT-LCD has been labeled the “world’s thinnest” thin-film transistor liquid crystal display for mobile phones.  Its thickness is less than that of a quarter, measuring an astonishing 1.3 millimeters.

LG Phillips revealed the TFT-LCD to the tech world at the Society for Information Display’s first Mobile Displays Conference in San Diego.  They’ve started mass producing the item, however they don’t yet have a buyer.
