Kate Hudson showed us all how the working mum does the two things that she does best –act and be a mum.

Kate was spotted on the set of her new film ‘Fool’s Gold’ with her son, Ryder, looking relaxed and happy, kissing and hugging her son during filming breaks.

Ryder, who is also the son of Chris Robinson; the Black Crowes front-man, has been with his mum for most of the filming.

‘Fool’s Gold’ also stars Matthew  McConaughey, who previously starred alongside Kate in the romantic comedy ‘How to lose a guy  in 10 days.’

The romantic adventure movie, follows two treasure hunters who uncover a new clue to the whereabouts of a lost treasure, which rekindles a married couple’s taste for adventure – and their estranged romance.

Filming at the historic Queensland University of Technology (QUT) campus has been in action since Monday. Kate and Ryder have been spotted enjoying their vacation and the nightlife, whilst Matthew on the other hand has been keeping under the radar.

A spokeswoman for Warner Brothers said the crew would pack up filming before moving to the Gold Coast to film the last scenes. Though the coast’s famous beaches will be nowhere to be seen in the film, with most filming to be done at studios at Warner Brothers Movie World.

Filming started towards the beginning of this month in north Queensland, which also became the Caribbean set for the movie. The movie is entirely shot in Queensland, which is sure to get the state’s industry a huge up.

The film is due to be in our cinemas in 2008.
