For the first time in 35 years the NBA will change the balls that are used in games.  In a press release the NBA reports, “The new model is a microfiber composite with moisture management that provides superior grip and feel throughout the course of the game.”  Shaquille O’neal (the Miami Heat’s center) and many other NBA stars couldn’t disagree more.  O’neal stated, “[It] feels like one of those cheap, indoor/outdoor balls that you buy at the toy store.”  He said fans should expect to see shooting percentages fall in the upcoming season due to the change in game balls.  O’neal also stated, “The NBA’s been around how long?  100 years?  50 years?  So to change it now, whoever that person is needs his college degree revoked.”
