While good girl falls for seemingly bad boy is a standard romance movie plot, Catch and Release comes at it from an interesting angle, one that is not the norm. Also, Kevin Smith is pretty damn funny and helps keep the movie from getting bogged down in all the sentimentality of the film. I too found this to be an above average movie.
