A recent study shows abstinence doesn’t pay…as well. The study was based on an article found in the Journal Labor Research. It contends that social drinking builds social capital through the use of networking. Females who frequent the watering holes at least once per month, build relationships and make more contacts than those that do not indulge in the activity. These women were found to earn 14% more than a non-drinker. On the other hand, males who frequent the bar are found to earn 10% more than males who practice abstinence.
