Internet advertising accounts for a mere 5% of all U.S. advertising revenues. Keyword ads running alongside search results, banner display ads, and classified ads are responsible for a 37% revenue increase for the first half of this year. Last year online revenues equaled $12.5 billion. Pricewaterhouse Coopers LLP conducted a quarterly study to determine Internet advertising revenue for the first half of this year. Their findings report a fourth consecutive year of growth, for the Internet ads this year have already produced $7.9 billion.
