No, Jan and I have not opened up Bloggernews Bail Bonds. However we started a couple of new ventures that are aimed at the Bail Bond Industry and I thought it was time to introduce them to everyone.
For the past year I have been running a radio program on Blog Talk Radio titled Americas Most Unwanted And The People Who Find Them. I will be the first to admit that I had no game plan, it was just for a ‘lark’.
For a number of years Bail Bondsman and Bounty Hunter William Cobra Staubs and I had been friends. We talked often on the phone, generally it was serious stuff involving a couple of cases that we shared an interest in, but from different perspectives.
Every so often during one of our conversations he would regale me with some strange story that was so bizarre it had to be true. These stories were both amusing and serious. I decided that it might be fun to run a few programs about his war stories, I assumed that it would run its course after 3 or 4 weeks.
It did not!
More people in the industry started to call in and the focus shifted from tales about the problems of transporting large Iguanas (uncaged) to subjects that are of deep concern to the Bail Bond industry.
I like to think of myself as fairly smart and in tune with what is going on in the world. I was wrong! I knew nothing about the bail bond industry or the challenges it faces.
There is nothing worse than being on the ‘uninformed’ side of an argument. I like to eat my opponent for lunch, not vice versa. I was probably a difficult child, I kept asking those awkward questions, Why? How? The questions that every parent hates. In my case, I never grew out of this stage. There are no silly questions, only silly answers. So I did what I always do, I read and I asked questions.
The answers I found disturbs me. Commercial Bail, should be listed by the WWF (World Wildlife Fund) as an endangered species. This makes no sense to me whatsoever. Why would the tax payer, who wants to pay less tax, and have a smaller government want to take on the onerous and expensive task of taking over a private sector industry that works just fine?
A couple of months ago I started a new web site SkipsR.Us it is in its infancy, but I am amazed at the resources we have amassed in such a short period of time. My thanks go out to everyone involved, and in particular to Jason Pollock for his hard work on the reference section.
