]]> http://www.bloggernews.net/13670#comment-1093 captainjohann Mon, 08 Jan 2007 09:13:07 +0000 http://www.bloggernews.net/13670#comment-1093 The LTTE was weakened by the defection of karuna faction in the baticolava east who are openly fighting alongside SriLankan army.the Jaffan peninsula is effectively throttled by closure of A9 jaffna highway.the demise of anton balasingham and his contacts in west is another serious blow for the tigers.the regular use of Kfir fighters has crippled the LTTE militarily and terrorised the civil population especially without international condemntation.Now SriLankan leadership is not using these weakness to strike a deal when LTTE has long ago abondoned seperate ELAM in practise.It exists only in propaganda as is the non recognsition of isreal by hamas!!!But unfortunately the leadership of sriLanka seems to think that the elimination of 5000 or so tigers will suffice to give it a military solution.Srilankan leadership is desperately using the pakistan armoury but cannot think of a plan to WIN THE tamil mind. It doesnot have statesmen but only politicians. Can a militatry solution survive the demise of tamil selfrespect?
