Thus look at things this way, with a cautious exam on what the REAL truth may be. The NG troops fled rather than face the group, which was wise on their part. This area is so remote that often the actual line of the border is ill-defined and uncertain for both countries. In actuality, they were not fired on, and the group was still at least 100 yds away. I am not minimizing the incident or the risks of the border war, just that experience has taught me to take things with a proverbial 'grain of salt'. The internal unofficial reports are that neither group knew the other was there. While working, if we caught a load of say 5 illegals, often the numbers would be increased.
