A UFO at O’Hare?

A group of United Airlines employees in Chicago may be starting to believe that Mulder and Scully of the defunct X-files TV series may have been onto something.  Ground crews at O’Hare reported a saucer shaped craft hovering over the airport, and some pilots backed up their claim, saying the object didn’t have lights, and hovered in position before shooting up through the clouds.

The FAA has acknowledged that a United supervisor called the control tower with the report, and was informed that nothing had shown up on radar.  The incident was then classified as a weather phenomenon, and the FAA is no longer investigating.  United officials, coincidentaly, no longer recall the occurance, and one was quite amused by it all, stating To fly 7 million light years to O’Hare and then have to turn around and go home because your gate was occupied is simply unacceptable.

The night in question did have a very low cloud ceiling, and with all those airport lights shining up into the clouds, shadows and reflections can play tricks on the eye, but still… do you think “TheTruth Is Out There”?  Mulder and Scully did, and now a few more folks in Chicago do too…
