"They are her children and she was under great distress."

Actually, they are NOT her children anymore. They have been adopted and are the Needham's. I have no doubts from what I have read about this case that they will be successful in their legal goal of having that upheld by the courts.

"I think its the courts fault for whatever their reasons are for not allowing her the children back right away. They allowed the other couple to become attached to the children after all this time and that could have been avoided by their return to their mother"

Easy to blame the courts when it can be reasonably argued that Allison herself is to blame for all that has happened. She instigated the pregnancy, she instigated the adoption, she signed the consents, she changed her mind, she mounted a legal effort to take the children, she kidnapped those poor babies.

"She should have been given her children back right away. Why didn’t the adoptive mother allow it. It had only been days!!! She should have understood and allowed the children to go back to their mother. "

I do not know the Needhams, so I can only speculate that they LOVE those children the same as if they had conceived them and given birth to them themselves. Let's not forget that Allison chose them, asked for money and when that was refused went in search of another couple. She ends up back with the Needhams and strings them along for a MONTH before she decided to sign the consent. If I were in their shoes no WAY would I hand those children back. She has shown in this instance to be very unstable and I would worry greatly about the children's safety. People do crazy things and judging from her actions over the past couple of years I am shocked that everyone seems to think Allison harming the children is outside the realm of possibility.

"This cause should become a prededent in the courts for future cases."

On this point I actually agree. I hope that whatever insane judge gave her unsupervised visits, is eating crow right about now. Everyone should consider themselves VERY lucky those children were located and are ok.

Why in the world, if only after hours of giving up her children and then asking for them back, didn't the courts grant her the children back?!!!! She asked for the children back the very same day or next day. Why would it take so long and so much heart ache! They are her children and she was under great distress. This whole thing could have been avoided. She has helped to raise my brothers daughter and has been a great and wonderful influence on her life. Allison is a wonderful woman and deserves her children back. I think its the courts fault for whatever their reasons are for not allowing her the children back right away. They allowed the other couple to become attached to the children after all this time and that could have been avoided by their return to their mother. Please someone step in and help her. This cause should become a prededent in the courts for future cases. She should have been given her children back right away. Why didn't the adoptive mother allow it. It had only been days!!! She should have understood and allowed the children to go back to their mother. There are so many children out there whose mothers can't take care of their children. Allison is totally capable!! Give her her children back.

She signed the consents and they are irrevocable immediately at signing in FL (true in several states). If she had $400,000 to fight in court, she certainly had other alternatives to adoption. Yet, still she chose adoption. I would also remind you that the children were a month old when she signed, so she clearly had plenty of time to think this over beforehand. The canadian courts will have no jurisdiction over either the adoption case, or the now criminal charges she faces...nor should they. You can not circumvent the law by leaving the country, it is a crime and she will now be returned to the very court she had such a problem with. I for one hope they throw the book at this woman and she never sees those 2 beautiful children again. I think she has put them through quite enough.
