You're totally overlooking the fact that U.S. blood donations have been screened for HIV since 1985 regardless of who the donor is. This is why the US blood supply is one of the safest in the world, not because we bar gays from giving blood. Show me figures on how many people have been infected by a blood transfusion since that time. Here's a hint: you're not going to find any. What you're really asking people to do is lie. Gay men and women already donate blood every year without disclosing their sexuality in order to avoid this same moronic debate. I don't blame them.
